Air Temperature: 13C
Sea Temperature: 8C
Weather: Sunny

Distance Covered:

I got to the beach at around 7am and found Shem packing up after being overpowered with his 6.3m C-Quad. I rigged my 5.7m sail and Fanatic Cross board and got out on the water. I was nicely powered up and had a pleasant sail on the flat waters of the estuary. BEFS then turned up at around 8.30am and started rigging a 5.8m sail. By the time he got on the water the wind had eased off a littlem but there was still enough to get planing. As the wind continued to drop, a few other people turned up as well. Radical Rob came out with a 6.5m sail, another guy with an old big Bic board and 7.5m sail did OK in the dying winds, and Derek, Simon and Mike started having a good time kitesurfing.

Richard also went out windsurfing as did a few others. The wind then eased off even moe so I packed up as the water was rapidly disappearing anyway and the little water that was left was getting crowded with jet-skis and powerboats. I should have stayed rigged a little longer though as the wind once again filled in.

Ken turned up as well, but went off in search of accommodation. Hopefully if the wind holds I shall get out for another quick session later this evening.
