Mood: who needs wind anyway
23rd August 2005
Windsurfing: Golf Course Car park, Ynyslas
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: 25 knots
Surf / Sea State: 2-3 foot rough surf
Air Temperature: 18ºC
Sea Temperature: 17ºC
Weather: Mainly cloudy
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Despite my recent back injury and a visit to the osteopath earlier today, with perfect 25 knot winds and choppy looking seas, I just couldn't resist a windsurf session.
Daz and Richard were out with 5m sails and biggish boards so I rigged my litle wave board and 5m and got out there with them. Conditions were perfect with a lovely 25 knot SW and a small swell but lots of steep chop and confused water to spice things up a little. I decided to take things easy so as not to aggravate my back, but still managed some nice jumps on the way outwith some really good runs through the surf with jump after jump all nicely controlled and well-landed. Had a few nice little wave-rides on the way in as well and one really nice backside aerial.

I didn't stay out too long though as I dodn't want to push things.
