Mood: Pleasantly chilled!
29th September 2006
Windsurfing: The Loch, Tiree
Wind Direction: S
Wind Stength: 13-18mph
Surf / Sea State: Flat
Air Temperature: Warm
Sea Temperature: Warm
Weather: Some sunshine
Max Speed: 26mph (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 22 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Arrived on the early ferry with not a lot of wind showing. Decided to head for the loch in order to sort out all the gear for the 4 of us who had made it over - everything was thrown in the back of Jim's van for travelling. This was alos only 2 minutes away from the hostel we were staying in, so it gave us a chance to drop off bags and food, etc (and get the beers in the fridge). Wind was gradually picking up, so got on the water around 10 and had a pretty reasonable session on the big kit. Just blasting in the moderate winds and some basic freestyle. Hoping for the wind to pick up during the weekend in order to get out on the sea - deal was if it was consistently above 18mph, we would check out some of the beaches, but to use the big kit on the loch.
