Well, that certainly made up for yesterday. My chest was still a little sore, but the wind gradually filled in during the afternoon and by 4pm was around 20 knots so I headed across to the beach. There were loads of kiters out all having fun so I rigged my 5.7m and Naish Hybrid Freewave and joined them. The wind continued to pick up and gradually the kiters left the water.

After about half an hour I came in and change down to my 5m and by the time I got back on the water I was all alone and having a great time perfectly powered up blasting through the waves. the swell picked up around now too with some pretty big waves out the back and the sun came out. Loads of nice gybes, some good gybes on the waves and some nice backside wave-riding too. Jonny and Derek came out after a while so I was no longer alone, and with the wind gusgint o just over 30 knots I was well powered.

Glad I waited until I did to get out there.
