Arrived at Hamworthy at 11am, not much wind so rigged 7.5m and Tiga, found
good wind out in the middle of the harbour and did some great fullypowered
runs almost the whole length of the harbour. Was tempted to sail round
Brownsea Island but there was calm patches round the back that I couldnt
get through so didnt bother. Wind was slowly building so downwinder on the
way back was pretty scary! Changed to Carve 111 with 37cm fin and kept the
7.5m (due to laziness as should have gone 6.2m at that stage) and had a few
more blasts, struggled to waterstart for some reason, possibly due to the
7.5m being a bit unweildy. Also the straps are too far inboard for
overpowered blasting (at this stage most were on 6m sails) so came in and
changed back to the Tiga. Had a load more flat out runs before wind died
and I could no longer plane so headed in. A great day although still no dry
gybes, but some dry tacks on the Tiga.
