After drinking a tad too much red wine on Friday night and not feeling too
strong I decided not to keep it easy and sail on the esturary. Arrived to
find a pretty gusty wind and lots of uming and aahing over rig size.
Rigged 5.7 and 5.0 as there were some big gusts around. Started with the
5.7 and evo and launched straight into a lull. There was plenty of current
at the time so shot downwind with the tide. After an small
misunderstanding with a bouy anchor line ( of which the line won resulting
in a huge catapult) the wind kicked in again and was time for the 5.0.
Besides some steep chop, strong currents and some big gusts it was not such
a bad sail which improved when the tide turned. The last hour or so was so
easy as it was almost a reach the whole time as the current was so strong.
Broke a harness line so changed to some slightly longer lines which
actually felt the perfect length. Time to order some more.
