Got down about 11 with Juan, beautiful day, windy but gusty seeming, down the end of the car park. Rigged 4.7 and 91l, but Juan persuaded me to take the 77l JP FSW. Good call! We zoomed upwind to the sand bar, and proceeded to bash around for maybe 90m, with the wind increasing. I did a couple of intentional jumps, the first the nose dropped in and I went over the front, so kept it up on the next. Caught some waves, really enjoyed zooming around the rather messy sloppy things available. Practised recovery in footstraps from jumps etc - wow, it works. Finally came ashore well upwind for a rest, then made my way back in a series of massively over-powered zooms and gybey crashes, to find some lovely lady had rescued my flipflops from HWL (High Water Loss). Total result, utterly knackered, collapsed in van eating and drinking. Saw other club members, Mike and Beth, Bill and Heather, Kevin, Steve G.
