Met Steve and Pendam and then we started off with a loop around the Pendam trail on Matt's Commencal Meta 5. He had very kindly let me have a go on it in an attempt to help me send some money on one!

It felt lovely, really nice in the turns, probably faste on the bumpy bits and plenty of grip on the technical climbs. It is a little heavier than my hardtail though.

After a trip around the Pendam Trail it was back to the car to swap back to my bike and we headed off around Joes Back Garden. It has to be said that I actually felt quite god on my bike too. It may only be a hardtail but it does what I need it to and I enjoy mysef on it... Decisions decisions... A nice new toy to play on or save my money and have almost as much fun on my hardtail (And retain my excuse for not being as fast downhill as everyone else!)

All in all a nice day out in the hills.
