Distance Covered:

Met FFD 11:30 as tide came in. Flat behind sandbanks and for first few minutes wished I had brought 9m, but wind eased back a bit and nice on 11m. Bit gusty but OK. As tide rose went further towards Conway and close to shore very flat and nice to kite parrallel to light coloured sand then turn to look across at Carneddau - a wonderful location for views.
Turns were coming off well for me and lost a few but not too bothered. Lost board trying to go fast, so stopped that and a couple of times I don't know what happened but at least got back fairly quick and always wary of river current and rips carrying board away.
Ten kiters out and one windsurfer once tide rose. Looked to be on 5.2m(?) and going well. Small waves over sandbanks would be good fun,
