Monday 4th May - walks *** – Levington Marina with Maeva and Jay –
cloudy and chilly :(
Bank holiday Monday dawned cloudy and chilly which didn’t put Mag off on
her early morning prom walk which I gave a miss today! With our son Dan
being invited to a VIP day at the Chelsea v Nottingham match we had
arranged to pick up Maeva and her mum Jay at midday for a picnic/walk at
Levington Marina which gave us enough time to do our exercises! We all
arrived at the gloomy marina at 1 and parked by the water to the left to
watch the many boats out on the water although the chilly breeze was very
light! We had our picnic first and Maeva was defiantly not 100% so quite
pleased to be pushed in our buggy for the walk over to Loompit Lake with
the bird song app on, keeping a note of the birds we saw or heard! There
was several trout jumping in the lake with several fly fishermen after
them! Maeva got out of the buggy when we reached the lovely beach which
felt warmer being sheltered from the cool breeze and after a slow start she
enjoyed throwing stones into the water with Granny while her mum had a look
for fossils :) Then on the walk back past Loompit where we all had to
pretend to walk like crabs Maeva fell flat on her face and hurt her hand
which was the end of the world and sadly cried all the way back to the van
and promptly fell asleep on the drive back to Felixstowe! Still we made the
most of a dull cool Bank Holiday and it’s always nice to spend time with
Maeva!
