Friday 6th November - walk *** – Ipswich – cloudy and still.
Another top Maeva Friday despite the grey gloom with light breezes, I
joined Mag to pick her up today and we came back via the seafront where I
quickly stopped at The Fludyers to take a couple of pics of the little blue
fishing boat and was lucky enough to get one of these on the lunchtime Look
East on the BBC. Then home for the fun to begin, while I had my breakfast
and packed the usual picnic Mag and Maeva did arts and crafts with autumn
bits and pieces Mag had collected on her walk at Levington yesterday. I had
another plan for today’s picnic in the van so we headed on a mystery
tour, and I parked in the lay-by next to the Orwell Bridge for lunch, it
was a tad on the noisy side with passing traffic but we enjoyed lunch none
the less. We then walked up to the huge bridge and explained to Maeva we
had driven over it earlier, I took a pic on my mobile of the bridge and for
the second time today Kate used one of my pics on her forecast:) We spotted
loads of birds with the tide being low including herons and egrets, back to
the van we drove the short distance to Suffolk Food Hall to make the most
of the free kids stuff, the large wooden tractor with a slide and the large
bouncy pillow both were loads of fun, I joined Maeva jumping on the
inflated trampoline only to discover later that there was a 12 year old age
limit:) We then had a walk round the food hall where we could not believe
the price of things, luckily Mag had left her purse at home! We then headed
for home for an hour with Peppa Pig where Maeva cuddled me the whole time,
just another, a great day was had by all!
