Who is out at the weekend?
Spooker - 28-1-2009 at 12:31

Looking a very blustery weekend, tho wind direction could be better...

Sat 17 knots ESE, possibly work in the Estuary - from Aberdyfi, tho the last couple of times I've been out in that direction its been horribly gusty. BRS would probably be better, cleaner winds.

Sunday 20 knots E, should work in the Estuary, sunny too, but likely to be ballistic.

Any takers???

Sorry Spooks not wasting holiday money on unnecessary fuel with those wind stats.

You used to sail from Pwllheli didn't you Neil? Should be good both days over there...

mNeil - 28-1-2009 at 15:09

pwllheli not a bad place ; you go in at the marina; turn left across the railway and can park in the dingy park. you are supposed tgo walk along athe beach quite a way so some peeps in summer go in by the caravan park before the marina. such a long way on small roads from black rock at this time of year.

Ill be out if its worth it spooks, ESe sat Ill probably go ynys las, like u said dyfi in that is usually a bit sketchy, unless its low tide for lagoons mid day>????

Yep had the same thoughts about the quality of the wind in that direction in Dyfi, so if it stays the same we are off to Oxwich. Not ridden there for around 18months so will be a nice change.

Looking VERY cold for Sunday... Quite fancy a flat water session in the estuary though and the wind looks as though it could be ballistic!

mmmmm 2C ambient temperature 4cast for lunchtime on Sunday, throw in say 30 knots in the estuary and with windchill that drops to -12C or more

perhaps I'll stop in after all - been meaning to catalogue my pornography collection for ages......
