Just saw your vid on the flexi site, nice one, they are good fun, I've got mine mounted on the board and edit on a mac using imovie. Bought it a month ago or so, this was my first attempt

Looks like loads of us have them now... I've had mine for just over a year and Andy has had one longer than that.

I haven't tried mounting mine on the board yet as I'm sure it'll get knocked off in a crash, but that's probably not quite such a problem on a surfboard or kitesurf board as there is less stuff (mast boom etc) to hit it as there is with a windsurfer. I therefore us it helmet mounted on the board and have a handlebar mount for the MTB. Although to start with I tried it mounted on the boom whilst windsurfing.

As we're sharing our first attempts with the GoPro, this was mine:

I edit it on my Mac in iMovie as well. Although it does get a little tedious sifting through hours worth of footage after every session.

I haven't recovered the cost of it from YBF yet either!

I was speaking to Mike Smith previously of Aber area yesterday, and he lost his first go pro, when the board mount and leash both failed whilst wiping out kitesurfing, so if I do use a board mount Ill be using the fsc plug bolt in variety. Ive never likes the look of the sucker pad! I think wed be able to make some really great videos if we sailed together and then shared footage. The only thing with most go pro vids is the continual viewing point, only m opinion of course. well have to give it a go

You have to be REALLY close to get good footage of anyone else with the GoPro though due to the very wide angle of the lens.

Looks like we'll have GoPro coverage all over Ynyslas and Dyfi soon.

Don't think I'll be trying out a board mount as I wipe out too often, but tried mounting on the boom using the MTB mount but I think the helmet mount is best for windsurfing as you can just look at what you want to film.

Here's my latest video from 28th December in the sunshine.

I just edit on the PC with Live Movie maker.

I've got stick on board mount, which I was a bit dubious about so just tied on an extra leash to go pro which I then tied onto the first footstrap. So if mount fails it will still be attached.
