Anyone going to be out at Borth Friday? might be able to make it down for the afternoon depending on transport.

Yep... Wind looks good at the mo, so if it stays that way I shall be out for a sail... let me know what time you'll get here and I'll arrange my day around that.

BTW... It is looking OK at the moment as well, so I might go out later if the wind holds.... Wetsuit is drying in the tumble drier just in case!

Dont know yet as me and someone who i know whs surfs are aiming to try get our stuff there on the train from aber. so if all goes to plan we should be getting the 11:27 train. Where abouts is the train station in borth related to the golf course car park???

justal - 24-1-2008 at 18:20

The train station is quite a way from the Golf Course Car Park... About 2 miles along the beach... Take a look here.

You won't want to carry your kit all that way, butyou could for a sail right out the front of the railway station though... Although you will want the tide to have dropped off below the groynes before doing so.

I have to work at some point tomorrow, either am or pm, so I guess if I worked in the morning I might be able to meet you at the train station on my way back through and take you and your kit up the beach??

Im actually thiking of braking the ice and coming in for the first time this year. All this mountain biking puts me off getting cold and wet. Mustnt grumble though finished work early and got out on the motor bike today, 919ccs of Joy, sweet!

Are you coming over this side Shem?

Al.

Andy_B - 24-1-2008 at 21:13

Al if your driving back throught by the station then keep a look out. There may or may not be 2 of us (the other one only surfs) 2 miles doesnt sound like fun walking with kit. If not we'll probably jst go from the beach by the station.

shem - 24-1-2008 at 22:00

Probably stay Aberdyfi as I have a big job I need to finish, may go from the estuary if there aint to much North though.

justal - 24-1-2008 at 22:03

No problem... I'll work in the morning and then try to drive through Borth around midday.... If you are on the train it should get into Borth at 11:39 so I'll look out for you somewhere along the front not far from the train station.

Wind looks good all day so it could be a good one.

Andy... I finished work early and waited at the train station, but there was no sign of you.... I take it you didn't manage to get your kit on the train?

Maybe next time.

Slight change of plan. Sorry Al. Last night was a bit heavier than planned and missed the half 11 train but were definitly gonna come on the half 1 train and get a session in this afternoon but probably just go from the beach by the station.

justal - 25-1-2008 at 13:05

OK... I'll stick my kit in the car and meet you there.

ohhhh a no show ?
lucky my mate Jimmy turned up with me at Porthcawl

justal - 26-1-2008 at 18:52

Andy turned up in the end and we had an excellent sail from the middle of the beach.. Andy struggled a bit with the Borth waves, as does everyone on their first outing here, but I had a great sail with some sweet backside wave rides.
