chase - 8-6-2014 at 15:12

So spwnt 2 hours fannying around on the dovey side this afternoon. V light fickle southerly wind and couldn't help noticing a yellow kite still up and flying.

Question 1. What was it and how big.
Question 2. Station was reading 10-15 and we were virtually windless, were tou guys picking more wind up than us at the point.

Seriously concisering a flysurfer.

Ta guys

Hi, I think Col123 and Dan from Powerkiteshop could tell a bit more as they were there with the bloke who was using it; I think it was a 15m kite if I am right and one of those which are usually used for land-boarding (soft/no leading edge)..wind had dropped at Ynyslas/Borth side as well at 3ish.

Chase it was a 15m ozone chrono..ozones first water relaunchable foil

makes the flysurfer look pre-historic in comparison, minimal bridle and super thin lines

lightest wind of the day and i was jumping the biggest, and i'm 90kg.
quick for a big kite, and once you get going, ie get speed on the foil the kite flys upwind, and so easy to use, look at the chrono page on powerkiteshop site and the Vidoes on that page..

seriously impressed, opens up light wind kiting, and we haven't even tried the 18M yet..maybe next weekend 18m test time

get saving

Thought it might be something like that, fancied a flysurfer last year, but do really like the ozones and got just a little bit excited when they brought the croon out. I can see the credit card coming out. Thanks for the update col, we'll try and get over for a session and see everyone. Liesa

Colin if your 90KG then your legs must be hollow

Look forward to seeing the ghost kite in actiuon

col123 - 11-6-2014 at 06:57

actually 88kg give or take a pie

suppose you could always stack the chrono to get you going, mind you it'd still have to be 20knts....
