Windy weekend in March

Looking good for some time on the water this weekend... waiting for the tide to drop means no early starts required either.

Who’s windsurfing/kiting this weekend. I’m hoping to get out in the afternoons.

If not too cold and not super ballistic (smallest kite 8m) I may adventure out after high tide

I tried it yesterday and there wasn't enough wind. Started off with my 5m sail and then 5.7m sail but there just wasn't enough.

Today it was pretty windy but also very gusty. My wheel-barrow was broken too so I carried my kit over and went out with a 4m sail. It was only just enough, Fine once I was up and going but I could have done with a bit more really. It's a really old sail, has seen better days and doesn't have much of a range so I was struggling to get enough power out of it much of the time.

Mind you, the squall that came through just after I got off the water would have been more than enough with gusts of 54 knots!
