You're gonna like this!!!!

I've just built an avatar gallery for the site..

Only registered members can get to it, and to do so just click the 'Choose an Avatar' link from below your profile on the Home Page. If you already have an avatar the link will say 'Change my Avatar'

You can still add avatars from elsewhere by editing your profile and entering the URL in the relevant place.

I thought I'd add the gallery as the home page now points out the fact that you don't have an avatar, and lots of people woudn't know where to find one.

I hope you like the gallery, I'll be adding more avatars as soon as I find a source of good, 'F-O-N' relevant ones.

Is there any chance of getting some surfing avatars?.I did try to put the avatar i have on the surf newquay forum but was not able to put it on.

Stormrider.... if you can point me in the direction of somewhere that has some suitable surfing / windsurfing / kiting etc avatars then I'll add them to the avatar gallery.

I've been looking for some (royalty / copyright free ones of course) but have been unable to find any.

The avatar i used was from the web site called http://www.surfoto.co.uk Its a thumb nail picture of the wallpaper i use.The large version of it is great. They have surfing pictures specally to download as wallpaper.You could allways ask if you could use them for avatars.Also you could put a forces of nature link for their web link page.

I've also added a few more avatars to the gallery, and will add others as and when I find some. If anyone has any in particular that they would like added, then let me know. And if anyone finds a source of good Forces-of-Nature related avatars then let me know also.

I've just added a new 'Surf' folder to the Avatar Gallery with some amazing surf photos as avatars in it.

Just to let you know, there is a site where you can download loads of free avatars to your computer. Go to www.surfbloke.com
There are some great avatard and I have downloaded a few to my computer, but can't post them on to my profile

This is an example:-

Your avator has to be online 'somewhere'! Either upload it to some of your own webspace or you can link directly to some websites with avatars (although a lot of them don't like you to do this...something to do with bandwidth theft or something!)

SeaSlave.... E-mail me the avatar you want to use and I'll upload it here for you.

I've just added a load more avatars from the link you posted... Mainly surf related ones, but also some bikini girls, which may not be any use as avatars, but they aren't bad to look at!!

Cool... Bikini girls!!! Now you need to get some more female members Al so that they can use the bikini girl avatars and all of a sudden reading threads in this forum would be a little more exciting!!!!



Can more than one member have the same avatar?? If so, is there anyway of letting us know which avatars are already in use?

Yes, more than one member can choose the same avatar. I could make it so that they are only available to one person, but that seemed a litle unfair, and if it ever got REALLY busy here I'd have to keep finding new avatars.

I've just throw this together though. Its nothing special, but it does show all the avatars that are currently in use. Theres a link to it from the front page of the avatar gallery as well.
