Anyone coming to Borth this w/e?

It looks as though there could be some decent winds... Easterly all week, so it'll be a session in the estuary.

Yesterday saw 10-15 knot winds in Borth, but a stonking 25 knot plus wind in the estuary, and that looks set to continue all week, and into the weekend. At the moment it looks as though it will be Force 5-6 in the estuary all week, and maybe more for Sunday. Its still a long way off yet of course, but if the wind stays from the east, then Ynyslas estuary could be the place to be.

High tide is around 2pm this weekend, so you won't need to be on the water early to catch the tide either.

Thanks Al, see you then...

Are you going to check with your new mate Bjorn and see what he's doing...

Well I'm seriously considering making it 3 weekends in a row. I think that will be a record for me!

Not sure whether I'll go for Saturday or Sunday as yet.

Cool...it'll be good to see you again!.. You'll be a local soon!

At the moment it looks as though Saturday will be the windier of the two days if thats any help. It still looks as though it will be Easterlies, so it'll probably be an estuary session from midday.

It looks as thought here will be a bit of a lull on Sunday, before things get wet and windy for the beginning of next week.

See you in the Estuary at 12:00

AndyW - 17-10-2003 at 15:08

I'll see if I can organise to get out on Saturday then!

Today was mad again in the estuary, 30-35 knots, and I was maxed out with my 4.5m.

Lets hope for more of the same tomorrow. If it is windy again, I shall probably get out there in the estuary fairly early... I'm sure I won't be able to wait until midday anyway! The tides are only small, so it should be sailable almost all day.

I hope you're on your way Andy.... The estuary is doing its thing... its a pleasant 30 knots there at the moment!!

Al,

I think I have to disagree with the 'pleasant 30 knots' and say it was an 'interesting 30-40 knots'.

It was worth turning up just to see it going off!

Such large chop for a small expanse of water, wow.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who didn't fancy going in there but the Golf Course launch was good for me being so flat!

I think I'm feeling the benefit of getting out a few weeks in a row adn wished I was out there on Sunday too!

Andy.
