WoW
What a week I've just had been to Rhosneigr for an advanced windsurf course and it only stopped blowing for half a day & that was Wednesday. Nothing bigger than 4.6 was needed. Will fill in day to day stuff tomorrow. Pic was taken at 10am

You certainly picked the right week for your trip to Rhossy. What new tricks did you learn then?? Come on, pass on some of the advice!

Nice photo BTW, can we add it to the beachguide... It would be quite nice to get some nicely spaced waves like that here, yesterday was a nightmare, I was landing on the face of the next wave even on the smallest jumps and just never had a chance to get settled.

Alsorts from waves & loops to various gybes & tacks plus 2 days with Peter Hart

How much did the course cost etc? I've never had a windsurf lesson, but maybe I should take the plunge for something like that one day.

It was done through the RAF, part of adventure training so apart fm paying for documents almost free

Oh... any idea on how much it 'should' be.

And did YOU do any loops!

No was going to try but it was 4.2/4.6 weather most of the week and so huge. Thats when I realised my gonads were small

badexcuseforasailor - 18-9-2004 at 16:53

I must have tiny gonads as looking at that photo I would stay on the beach

I take it though, that despite the disappointing realisation concerning the size of your testicles, that you had a thoroughly good time, and recommend an 'advanced windsurf' course.

Did they do lots of video clinics etc.?

B@%$*&%S....
Got a long way through the selection process for the RAF but was dropped for medical reasons. If I had known they offered this kind of stuff I would have tried even harder! :-)

The main reason for not going for loops was that I was maxed out most days and just controlling jumps was bad enough let alone trying loops but who knows the next time I'm out.

Ian

Was all fired up to join Peter Hart's loop off on the Friday but the wind never kicked in properly. They were heading back out for more filming at 5pm but with a 350 mile journey back to Plymouth ahead of me I decided to wait until Tiree in 2 weeks time.

Saw Peter Hart get trashed when he got overtaken by a wave in front of me, good to see it happens to the experts as well

I was one of the students on Iain's course-he was an excellent instructor by the waym and the weather was awesome. We had the pleasure of Peter Hart giving some wisdom for 2 days as well!
