After the past few very cold days up at Nant I had expected it to be even colder at ClimachX. It was still cold at home at sea level with ice everywhere, butb strangely when I got to ClimachX it was actually fairly warm and there was hardly any ice or frost about. In fact in places it was a little muddy!

Odd that as it was still icey when I go home. Still, Had a good ride around the ClimachX trail on my own. Didn't see anyone else whilst out on the trails and did the whole trail including the horrible bit if single track at the top.

I did have a puncture on the first climb but it soon sealed itself without any issues so after putting a little bit of air in I was able to continue as if nothing had happened... I do like this ghetto tubeless malarky

Im amazed it had warmed up, up there, it was fewwzing the day before, so cold there where Stalactights all over the place, I've put photos of them on my facebook. Pennal was still -5 at 1pm in the afternoon that day, the joys of inland living, Bbrrrrrr!

Yep, there were still some icicles on the wall on the section of track just after the newly clear-felled single-track, but it was nowhere near as cold as it was at Nant, or as cold as it was at Ynyslas even.. Which is unusual.

I did think about going windsurfing yesterday but it was just too cold...First time I've ever said that so either it was cold or I'm getting too old.

Still damn cold up there!! The iccicles are now 5 foot long!!!! The rock garden section has about 5 inches of solid icy covering it all, I wouldnt suggest attempting to ride it!
