Snow!!!
justal - 2-2-2009 at 12:43

Well, its taken its time (other than a light dusting overnight), but it has just started snowing here in Aberystwyth.

How much snow has everyone else got so far? Enough to get out on the hills with the snowboards / skis yet?

We had a few inches in Manchester over night. Was still driveable.
We've had heavy snow showers all morning as well with more forecast this afternoon and tonight.
There'll be enough to go out on the hills but unfortunately work get's in the way. ;(

awoke to about 2cm this morning, has started again nowhopefully get enough tomorrow to get out on the board with the kite. lack of real wind might be the problem.
never mind off to visit one of my friends in Bansko in two weeks for some real snow.

Just driven back from work (Stevenage, Herts) along the chilterns. Saw some people snowboarding near the Village of Hexton (about 500'). I hope it gets as far as Wales for you.....

Around an inch here in Stourport/Kidderminster. Been snowing all day pretty much.

I now have a 5ft snow man in the back garden to show for it.

Still nothing sticking in sunny Pennal. Just got out the hot tub, still loads coming down, so maybe by tommorow morning.

had the best snowkiting session for us both so far in its history this afternoon with Nick the Hill. old 2nd world war place in aldridge. wind was perfect direction although pretty gusty as there was an approaching front but 5 to 6 inches of powder and only the occasional pile of dog shit. used the 2006 frenzy 10mtre, far better than my old 2003 12 mtre, it flys instead of luffing all the time.
