hey all. been getting on the bike more with the days getting a bit longer My mate is keen to join in but realises he need a proper tool to even try and keep up with me. He wants to spend £800 but i reckon i can push him too £900. Any one know of any offers out there at the mo? Happy New Year to all those I have not caught up with Col, no tranny jokes, lmao!

At less than a grand you are going to have to compromise a little with a full-sus bike. There are a few available, but you maywant to upgrade parts on it fairly quickly.

Something like a Specilized Pitch Pro or Specialized FSR would probably fit the bill... You should be able to get 09 models for just under the £1000 mark, both of which are good value for money.

Although you will have to check the sizing as many of these are only available in Small or Extra Large.

Alternatively at that price point you could get a quite tasty hardtail.

780 quid wil get you a ful xt giant anthem on a 08 model. bargain! Im well stoked with mine, although did up grade the 90mm forks to a 130mm set. heaps of deals, best bet is to buy a copy of mbuk an dflick thru, then check the web links off the ads.
