Aber MTB Rides Week beginning 8th June
justal - 7-6-2009 at 05:25

Night Ride
Not so much a night ride these days as it is so light, but this weeks ride will be in the Pennal Forest on wednesday June 10th.

Hopefully Shem will have finished hi carpentry by then and will have some new exciting and dangerous stunts for us to try!

We're going to meet in Mach at 7pm and rid there up the Bron yr aur climb first!

Lights are probably not a necessity for later on in the ride, but bring them if you feel like it.

Weekend Ride
Nothing definite yet, but I'm sure we'll be riding somewhere. More info later.

General Info
There is a group of 10ish transient and 4-5 regular “hardcore” riders who join in on these rides in and around Aber/Mach.

We will ride for 2-2¬? hours depending on the people who join us, at a social pace.

Please feel welcome to join us at any time.

Steve is supposed to be coming out as well but it will be his first time out since his knee op so he wanted to go to Nant yr Arian for an easy ride...

We'll have to see how he gets on before planning a trip to ClimachX or Coed-y-Brenin!

Whats wrong with a baptism by fire? Im going to pop round to Coed on Sat and Sunday. I understand there are a few divertions in place as I have heard the begining of the end is closed.

Change of plan just riding at Coed on Saturday managed to sort me some rock climbing and canyoning for sunday

Yep, Beginning of the End is closed so all routes follow the basic blue route along a fire road back to the visitor centre from the bridge.

Except of course the Tarw trail on the other side of the road!
I'll ring Steve tonight and see if he fancies a ride at Coed y Brenin.

Where are you climbing?
