Jesus it was gusty, and I must have been mad. Left work on the hooter at
4pm and on the water for 5. And is was getting dark then! I was quite
over-p so I downhauled a bit more. I used that knot out of BOARDS on my
spreader, and amazingly I could remember how to do it. Cold affects the
brain you see - you know everything seems to slow down and not work
properly. I tried to relax conciously and it worked. My gybes were well
shit, but who cares, I was going over 30 on the reaches, eeeeeeh haaa. Did
a f**kin massive jump off a 2 footer. Good laugh. Then as night fell it was
getting tricky. There was on other guy on the water and I could see him OK,
that wasn't the problem - spotting the lulls and the waves was. I realise
the windurfing is 99% feel and 1% see. Are there any blind windsurfer out
there? All they'd need is a radio-link and some guy on the beach saying "ok
time to gybe"
