With over 300 days a year of force 4 and above Dahab is one of the top locations for windsurfing and kiting worldwide. Which is why boards and windsurf magazine do there testing here

There are plenty of centres to choose from offering a variety of kit from jp and pryde to fanatic and north. Kitesurfing is allowed at the top of the lagoon in its own area.

For windsurfing there are three main areas

  1. Lagoon, excellent area for teaching, flatwater and safe.
  2. Speedy, constant wind and chop outside the lagoon.
  3. Kamakaze big boys only big waves big wind.

Divers are catered for at any one of the sixty plus dive centres in the area. The Blue Hole an 80m hole in the coral reef exiting to the sea at 60m and the Canyon being internationally recognized. The centres provide all levels of courses and have daily trips to all the sites. If you are diving the usual format is one dive in the morning and one after lunch or mix and match

Dahab is split up into three main areas

  1. Dahab town and lagoona
  2. Mazbat the main restaurant and bar area
  3. Assala the main town with residential and shops
