Newbie

I've been an occasional visitor to FoN for a few years, and just last weekend was wondering how many times a year I get on the water - thought about a diary, and then put 2+2 together.
I live in the midlands near Stratford, and home and work are both about 20mins from Draycote Water so I can get there whenever it's windy, even for a session at lunchtime. It's ok as an inland location; plenty of water, open every day and a friendly bunch who sail there. Trips to the coast involve 4 hours in the car, so the days need to get a bit longer...
I've been a sailor all my life, and first w/surfed about 20 years ago. I started w/surfing seriously about 10 years ago, with my son who was 12 at the time and we're both addicted. My wife and teenage daughters also windsurf (summer only !). Yes I've got a garage full of kit.
We've been regular visitors to Aberdovey over the years, so the 'local' posts from there keep me interested.
When I'm not on a board, you'll find me out thrashing an MTB. Cotswolds are just down the road for good local riding, or else it's off to the Welsh hills.

Welcome - glad you joined in.

If you are sailing in the Dyfi estuary anytime lets us all know, I sail from Ynyslas, but we can pop over for a cup of tea.

Lunch time sessions?
I'm so envious!... the closest thing I have near to my work place is a stagnent canal with all sorts of horrors floating in it!
