new ferry portsmouth/le harve. good prices

found a ferry that goes to france for a reasonable price; check it out
www.ldlines.co.uk
looks like the one for me, will cost less than the difference in deisel to calaise or dunkirk or tunnel

staying at the beach sounds good to me neil. although the ferry price is £288 seems expensive, but i dont know what fuel costs from calais to la havre will be.
i think it may be a better option for me to sail from dover/calais. speak to you w/e later dude!!!!!!

dover calais prices vary ;cheapest i got was norfolk line, dover dunkirk £98 .
sea france Dto C £105
P&O £145
tunnel£173.93.
the trip from you to dover return could be anything up to two tanks od deisel £1 litr thats about 160 litrs; and 2 days of your holiday spent getting there and back, a horrific journey! easy trip to porstmouth
calaise to le harve probably at least another tank plus and the road is VERY hilly .
say you use 200litres on the return trip from home to le harve, thats another £200 on to the price of the ferry.
on these maths thats why i have always gone for the long ferry journey.
anyway the good news ;last year ferry to le harve with 2 weks before i went was down with P&O from the £340 i paid to less than £200......................... now i was not impressed as i booked the previous october with about £200 off the price.
this year i am leaving it as late as poss and booking online when the price drops and they want to fill the boat.
did just over 1770 miles last year, if you put that into perspective is not a lot in a month as i did over 750 last week going to and around cornwall.
but your accommodation is FREE..........and the food is far cheaper and so is the wine/larger and deisel is about 75% cheaper,,or was!
OH AND THERE IS SUNSHINE USUALLY EVERY DAY!!!!!!! now how much is that worth?
