New surfer which board

Hi guys need some advice. New to surfing just done some lessons in oz , got the bug and want to keep it up in england when i get back in march. I started off on a big foamy like everyone else in the class but progressed so he let me use a real board lol. But i dont know what it was called , he suggested that its the type i aught to buy. It was he reckons 7 ft tall but i dont think it was quite that tall. It looked like a proper pointy short board but it was a little thicker and he said when i was buying to get one like this as the thickness will help me balance but being a good shape its also manouvarble for when i get better. I actually got a pic of it and looking at it its not 7ft considering im just over 6ft. But its still the one i want i caught some good waves buy the end of my third lesson not just white water lol like we were taught on it was fantastic if you can help us out cheers guys.

he bang on right, Your looking for a 7 foot thruster, around 20 inches wide. Dont make the mistake of buying a 7 foot board thats 18 inches wide, itll be a totally unsuitable big wave GUN. THickness at least 2.5 inches. Youll probably find the board is 7 foot long, however because of the curve throught he profile of the board it looks shorter. Have fun, and dont get talked into buying a mini mal, youll get bored to quickly

The nugget is quite a specialist board, very wide out line, super think and very forgiving, made and designed by Mccoy. real fun boards!

O'Shea 7' Fat Boy Flyer ? Any good

Could you recommend some actual boards im having a hard time find boards the right height and width and thickness by just putting in thruster surfboards ect in the search engine. \

Any links to shops too would be great.
