Hossegor Waves

Since knowone has posted in this part of the forum for quite some time now, i thought i'd break it by asking: -

Is Hossegor good for bodyboarding?

I know its a bit of a stupid question but i need to know if the waves around Hossegor are always big...i mean BIG! Because i'm still a begginner/intermediate i still wouldn't feel right going into a sea full of this :-

Is it always like this?
See below on next post.

The largest wave i would dare to go in (maximum height i would bodyboard on for my level of skill) would be like this. (see below)....maybe even a little smaller. It always seems like the tube looks forcefull and makes the wave look bigger...i think that's what i don't like about it.

So, do all Hossegor waves have tubes?
Any help/advice would be great...cheers. (sorry if the waves on the images look the same, but i think the 1st image on my last post was taken further away, but in real life is bigger than the 2nd image)

I already told you about hossegor!
don't worry about it, it's not always big there, in fact it can be flat for ages, probably average height in the summer is just over head high,
it is a powerful wave for a beachbreak
just go!
tim

To be honest Thodd, i don't think that the Hossegor webcam has been working since 1999...let alone recently! You can only watch the recordings (select the recording of the surf on a particular day and press the "charger" button) from the date of 1999. But, on some other spots you can watch recordings of the present day (2004)!
