Take a look here http://www.forces-of-nature.co.uk/forum/viewthread.php?goto=lastpost&tid=2846

Looks as though a few people should be around.

Question: where is going to be the best place around porthcawl to get some wavesailing in on thursday evening? I'd like to get over to the gower but don't think i'll have time. Rest bay will be pretty much dead onshore, as will ogmore, so i'm reckoning Newton could be the best bet. I've not sailed newton though - do the waves get in there or is it flat?

Newton is generally fairly flat, but there can be decent 'bump and jump' conditions and low tide.

How about heading around to Aberavon??
