July 7-9 Ynyslas. Be there or be somewhere else

Was thinking of going to a kite meet at Hest Bank (up Morecombe way) but it will only be land based giggery pokery and if the weather is o.k. i may want to try and get out on the water.
So, If the weather is looking like it might be playing ball, will more than likely be toddling over to Ynyslas this weekend.

Any one else?

Not looking bad for the weekend at the moment... Possibly some real wind on Sunday too.

Thanks for the offer of assistance, Mr. Neil

if the wind is up and in the right direction, i'll be splashing about in the nursery slope version of kitesurfing, otherwise known as the lagoon.

I think we're arriving on Saturday morning.

I'll be your P.A. if you like, here's your schedule for the weekend:

Sat: Borth beach, sit waiting for wind. Coffee and windsurf DVD's at Al's. Out for an evening session on the seafront with biggish kit.

Sun: Early start with 5.7m sail, sail until lunchtime. Change up to 6.5m sail for an afternoon session.

Dang!!! Dang! Dang!
I need to be in the Midlands on Saturday night for some charity ball. Dow!!!!! Trust my luck to agree to go this weekend and there is no way out of it now. I could of done with a good session on both Saturday and Sunday. Will I drink too much? No a chance in hell with this forecast and the sheer lack of recient wind.

I wish, as it would explain my irritation at the weather, i.e. NO COMMENT but I thought I had better edit my post.

Al, you're hired.....

But here is the real world version:

Saturday. Spend day with kids, go for bike ride, play PC games, play FIFA on Playstation, feed kids. Go to cinema in evening, drink wine.

sunday: wake up early, check forecast (actually, don't even bother), load up car head for beach for that 5.8/6.4 session just as you described, then head home just in time to watch the world cup final

"then head home just in time to watch the world cup final"

and what happens if it is perfect 5.0 weather with a 6 foot swell. Hopefully a bunch of over paid poofs wont pull you away from the water in those circumstances.

But Impi, if that's the case I'll be knackered and more to the point I would probably have broken my mast and trashed my sails.

Well, Well, Well!

The blowy stuff looks like it's going to finally make a VIP guest appearance, this weekend.

Lets roll out the red carpet and greet it with a guard of honour made of ripstop, dacron and mylar

Or maybe just go boarding.

Andy W, there is nothing wrong with breaking kit as long as it is while sailing. Anyway it is a good excuse for some brand new toys. The sad case is I have not broken kit for some time which means I have not been sailing enough. Look forward to seeing all on the water on Sunday.
