out this weekend...

Hi all,

only discovered Dovey this past weekend ! have always been further up the coast, but what a spot. was only there on the sunday and the wind was either off shore or too light, but cant believe how great it looks there. will be arriving thursday night in my camper for the weekend so any clues on the best place to park up or start kiting from ? hope to see some of you guys out on the water.

Mark

In the day for riding it's at the point where there is a small layby on the righthand side of the road about a half mile out of Dovey towards Tywyn. You then walk over the railway line and the dunes and you are on the beach. Depending on wind direction and tide you may find us a mile closer to tywyn parking on the left by a cemetery.

Yeeha! got Friday off, going over to the other side again (Dyfi) Got to leave early Sat booooo

Wind not looking that bad, it forecast less last weekend

Mark aka Loxley, you may get away with parking up in the main carpark in Dovey, although most seem to park up over night in the car park opposite the petrol station Spar shop. I too will be parking there Thursday night, lookout for a biege hightop VW wedgie come over a say hello.

Jon, is Whoosh coming across this weekend maybe he could bring me harness, it's mainly the reel leash I want don't want to lose me board in da estuary

Hi Kitefish, I was thinking of parking there, so will see you later tonight.
Its a bit of a drive over from Derby, so dont expect to be there until after 10pm, but will try and keep the noise down if its later than that.
Otherwise will see you in the morning !
As it is I am only around Friday as I am heading over to Abersoch Saturday as I have a speedboat there and meeting up with some mates, so if there is no wind we can blast around on that, I have a 3 man banana boat as well as a wakeboard if anyone is interested.

Hi to Chris and Mark

Well the weekend didnt provide the best kiting conditions but it was great to meet up with 2 Dovey/Borth regulars in the form of Chris and Mark.

Thanks for the chats guys and the advice. Will be back very soon. Probably this weekend. I have decided to postpone my powerboat training until the Spring.

Had an expensive session on the boat as my mate managed to grind the propellor on the shallow bottom of Abersoch harbour ! Hopefully the only damage was to the prop and not the crankshaft.

Chat soon, may see you this coming weekend in the car park. Will be in touch to see if i should try the 'other side' and join the massif rather than the pikeys ! LOL

Mark
