I'll be around somewhere.....
If the wind stays Southerly It'll either be Dovey or maybe venture up to Blackrock on sat for some stronger wind.
7m Ocean Rodeo anyone? Skittish little devil!!

Can only do sunday this weekend. Nothing for weeks then the one decent weekend and have a social engagement to attend ! Typical.
Still, will be there early sunday morning. But where's going to be best ? Borth or Dovey or Blackrock ?

lol, I suppose you could break any kite if you crash it enough.

Speaking to Jonnie ( partner/brother of Richard, who used to be Cygnus), one of the most repaired kite brands is North. That does supprise me though, as my windsurfing wave kit has always been North and its tough as old boots. Repair, normally = rider error.

I don't know of any Helix that has failed because of their shape. The build quality from Naish is always top draw.

The 2009 Helix is different from last years. There are only 5 struts the 2008 had 7. They are also more direct, more of a "c" feel. I have flown both the 2009 and the 2008 and think that they have been improved.

They may not be everyone's cup of tea and they do look different, but they work. I got to boost yesterday a few times. The lift and glide was awesome. The only negative was they bar pressure is so light, the feed back from the kite while you were in the air was different. Then for waveriding though, they give de-power on demand.

They are different to my Ravens, and having ridden them for 3 years, its time to change. I think it'll take a while to get totally "dialed in" but I think there's massive potential........

Dunks

Who's playing today????

Decided to do Blackrock saturday, tho not looking desperately windy anywhere that day. Sunday looking much more promising, but as its pretty much bang on Southerly I'll sail from Dovey I think, can choose between estuary or waves
