looking for advice

hi,

So where do i start, im 6ft 8in tall, 20stone in weight and at an inter lvl
im lookin for a good board that i can use in all condition ie- gale - light winds but also enough volume to uphaul. generally an all round board that can see me through to a higher lvl of ability.
ive been lookin at a techno 293 205ltr the no dagger board version.
would this be suitable or would u recommend anything else? not forgetting i am 20stone, lol

chris

Hi Chris,
I'm not that good with bigger kit, but at 20 stone you are probably going to need something with quite a bit of volume in it, and the large Techno is a good board.

For a board to be uphaulable (for someone with moderate skills) it is going to need to have a fair bit of voulme. I think the general calculation is something like Your weight in kgs + 20-30. So, if my working s are right, your weight in kgs is around 130kg, so a board 160 litres of volume should just about be uphaulable for you.

The Techno should therefore be fine. You'll be OK on it in lighter winds and be able to uphaul it, but it is still a nice board once you've got back into it and are blasting around in stronger winds.

Hope that helps.
Al.
