Vans and camping at borth
MMMMM
Times might well be changing, but after chris spoke to the local maritime type bods, there has been complaints about camping, vans
etc.
they turned up again on sunday just as i was leaving and the permanent nature of a Certain caravan with a wheel lock on doesn't help
the situation, as locals have noticed and state there is a couple of caravan sites nearby for that type of thing.
Vans etc might be able to get away with, but because a 'Facebook' party was trying to be held in the dunes, which they stopped, doesn't
help
Chris (kitefish) fought the corner for the local guys who have been coming here for 10 or more years, but if that artifical reef takes
off, and surfing increases i'm sure the low key use at the moment might change and barriers etc be put up.
time will tell, in the mean time shift the bloody pikey van

Maybe if they charged for overnight camping, it would prevent loosing the spot, and also help contribute to the local economy? I guess
theyd need planning for that tho. Maybe find a new spot, theres loads of other locations, none so ideal tho, I guess

No one slagging anyone off Daz, it was the council type bloke, who were patrolling in the landrover, they mentioned the Van, said it
looked permanent.
Only passing on what comments i had with council blokes,

ont think dafydd has a right to charge for overnight camping, as I doubt he has a licence for that? I may be wrong. planning
permission is required for camp sites, and numbers are really limited. I doubt he has that!

Well that van could of easily been mine. Dafyd was more than happy to take my £50 at the door step of my pikee van. The reason i
had a wheel clamp is because i shoot off to borth etc, not just for myself but for those who don't want to move their motorhomes and i
would like to keep my property secure. I hardly feel a wheel clamp makes a dwelling permanent. On the other hand if it was chucked up
on blocks with no wheels i could see your point. If you don't like caravans, sorry. but its only a motorhome minus an engine. If I
think i was endangering the use of the beach for other motorhome/camper user who have been coming longer I will gladly leave it at
home. On the other hand if the man who CONTROLS the beach takes my money and ask no questions/remarks what am i to think????????
First of all there was a problem with the tranny now this!

Fair point, i think the council were at bit pee'd off at Daffyd for allowing caravans, i'm sure at one point Daffyd even stated (this
is heard second hand by the way)what are the caravans doing here!!!!.
The Boys who stop over regularly pleaded ignornace Etc.
But like you say when daffyd takes your dollar, he is endorsing it.
Hopefully, the people who arraged the original party have now decided not to use borth and all will carry on regardless.
Just depends wether the council and local residents/camp site owners kick up a fuss..
