Looks like decent NE (Force 5, maybe more) at the mo and not too cold (5¬?C) on Sat, and a bit colder but still above freezing on Sunday. But with quite large tides and high tides around 9.30am it'll have to be a nice 7.30am start to get a decent session in!

the Colonels' mum and dad live in site of long mynd so should be able to find out if the club is shut due to the snow. if there is no glidiing going on we should be able to use the runway. we will have to drive around to the front of the hill and park up and walk up as there is no way you can drive up there without a half track!!!!!!
fingers crossed.

sounds good to me, can't wait to try out this snow kiting lark, will dig my snowboard and boots out the loft ready to go. Sunday is good for me - I've got a mate with a landrover in Church Stretton who may be able to help out if need be.

just spoke to the parents and theres only about an inch of snow at the moment , but the sign at the bottom of the mynd road says that if theres snow they'll close the road..

.dont forget the gliding club rents the land of the national trust..

.it might be worth searching for the long mynd gliding club on t'internet and if it's shut go for it i say...

what's up with borth oh wise one? NE are usually cleanish, wind forecast looks sound and high tide should be around midday ( me thinks unless mistaken)

Me is up for an estuary bash on Sun.

Is there anywhere round llandudno way or East coast of Anglesey that is good in a noreaster?

tim llygwy ; past benllech about 4 miles small beach ,great tide goes out for ages.
i thought the tides are about early morning in the estuary, not much time to sail; what say ye justal?

Hey Master Bluebeard, just had a look at Da Guru and Borth looks more appealing than brancaster..shorter journey, less pigs on the road, warmer weather..

The other option that looks like it will have the best NE wind and a warm 7 Celsius, is Newborough north Anglesey..What say yee

newborough only south type winds.
you maybe correct about borth though,so may change mind and go there! east is where the snow may be lying on the roads.
hows the snow around borth justal?
