Holiday in Dahab, Egypt
Woohoo, I've just booked my flight for my first ever foriegn windsurfing / kitesurfing holiday!
Hopefully got a good deal:
£129 for the flight, staying in this villa in Dahab (which
should cost £40 each per week).
Heading out on 29th April so will be praying for wind!!

Cheers... It'll be the first time windsurfing in warm water for me so that should be a novelty after over 20 years of doing it in the

Al, a few of us are headed of to do some hot kitesurfing around the same time. Where did you get flights from and what is the wind like
in Egypt at that time?

Tried that Rob... Too expensive... the basic cover was over £65 for two of us.
Snowcard gave us £42 for two of us... Although I don't think I need speicalised 'sports' cover just normal travel insurance really,
which I have managed to find for £12.80 from the moneysupermarket.com
Charlie... I got the flights from www.justtheflight.co.uk... If you are interested in
the accomodation in Dahab let me know.

Well, thats the insurance sorted... £6.40 each from flexicover direct.
Now maybe time to treat myself to a new rash-vest to keep the sun off my back!

Thanks Al, it looks like there could be a few of us headed out on the 29th April to the 8th May. The main house could be a possibility.
At the moment we are looking at Tarifa again, found some really cheap flights etc . . I'll let you know but enjoy yor first hot
windsurf!

Where are you flying to? Can't find anything close to the prive you paid? Also the main house has 3 rooms but how many does it sleep -

I'm flying to Sharm el Sheikh.
justtheflight.co.uk still have flights on the 29th for £99 (from Birmingham then coming back into Newcastle) or £129 from and
back to Birmingham.
I'll find out about how many the main house sleeps... Although I think the owner is out there for a week at the moment so I might not
get an answer today!.

cool Al let me know when you find out. do you know what the wind conditions are at that time of year. I know it says 300 days over
force 4 but what sort of wind speeds are we talking about???

Take a look at the Club Dahab website or the Club Mistral website. They have wind stats for Dahab on them.
