No windsurfing yet this year as I'm focusing on cycling and running this year. However, I did repair my winter wetsuit yesterday so I might sneak one in soon but I'll be very rusty.

Did the fast 10km Bourton road race (running) this morning knocking 4 mins off my previous PB to get 38 min 50 secs. A fast course with National runners. The winner sprinted round doing an incredible sub 30min time!

All my training is focused on loosing 2 stone by July for the Marmotte, a 110 mile 5000metre alpine bike ride on 7th July and then my first marathon in Amsterdam later in the year. My current weekly schedule of 30 miles running and 70 miles cycling leaves no time for water sports at the moment.

Tim - sorry to hear you've been so ill - get well soon and hope you're still up for the HONC.

I was knackered just reading the post..good luck..you must be mad

Nice one... 38:50 is a pretty good time for a 10k.

I've recently started a bit of running again and trying to get anywhere near my PB's just isn't going to happen these days. It is surprising how much speed you loose if you take 15 years off!! I used to do a 10k in around 40 mins with a PB of 36:13, but now getting it under 50 mins is good.... Worse than that though is the fact that a 10k run results in a few days off to let the sciatica that it cause eases off a bit.... Wish I was 21 years old again as I' sure it didn't used to hurt this much.!

Good luck with the Marmotte... It sounds like fun.

Al.
