A lovely clear night with a crescent moon and loads of stars.

Met Myles early at Pendam and we did a quick circuit of the lake and then Hippity hop and met Martyn in the car park. We then set off around the lake again and then off towards Angler's Retreat. All at a nice steady pace, bit too strenuous but no stopping and waiting either so we were able to have a chat as we went.

Myles had a sketchy moment (or probably three sketchy moments in about 3 seconds) on a little (now deeply rutted) descent into a hollow on the singletrack towards Nant-y-Moch.

Martyn then had a fairly spectacular off on the ice on the road around Nant-y-Moch.

From there it was up towards Angler's Retreat and down the MXer trails which have been resculptured by the forestry commission. Myles came off again just before the rocky step! After this the big deep puddle has gone and the trails have been re-surfaced so were a little loose but will probably improve as they bed in.

We then headed back towards the Conti Trail and finished the figure of eight and back towards Syfyddrin and the Hippity Hop.

It was a gorgeous night, really clear and on the return leg there was a strange light in the sky, presumably a planet, but we weren't sure which one.

Was it Ur-anus, he he he!
